Better late than never... I think

Hello family and friends,

Sooooooooo yeahhhhhhhhh, I guess I didn't live up to my blogging expectations. Life seems to keep us a wee'bit busy. Since our last post here's whats been going on. Alice and Oliver never really got along. Sadly, with great effort on everyones' part.

I started teaching again at a great Child Center. I'm now a preschool teacher to two year olds. I loveeeeee it. With great sorrow 2 weeks after starting, Alice didn't make it. Her CKD was too much on her little body, and we lost her at the end of September. Its been 1 1/2 years & we still miss her like crazy. Oliver was very down, so 6 months later we adopted Jack. He's a cute & crazy kitty, just like his big brother.

Fast forward to now... Oliver is 2, Jack is 11 months, and we are celebrating 4 years being married. Oh and after 5 years at Listen Up, Jon just started working at Peach Tree Audio. Very exciting stuff...

So Alice still hasn't warmed up to her new little brother, Oliver. Its been extremely challenging. Well the other day I actually got them to sit and lay"by" each other w/out hissing, smacking, or growling. Fingers crossed!!!

Mountain Lion Alert

Soooo... Our wonderful apartment is located on a foothill. I've seen a mountain lion once, and we've heard them tons. Ppl have seen bears, snakes, and bobcats on the property as well. Well there is a public walking nature park right next to the apartment. Its covered in trees, very pretty. I've always had it in my mind it was unsafe. B/c of the Colorado wildlife. Well about a week ago I realized how stupid I was, and started walking in the park. Well after my walk today I FINALLY noticed this big sign by the apartment door. It said, " Mountain Lion Alert! Multiply mountain lions seen on property at varies times of the day. Be VERY careful when outside..."! Sooo yeahhhh I guess I won't be walking that park anytime soon...

Welcome to our family blog.

So Jon and I have tried to start a blog/website a couple times, but always failed to maintain it. This time I'm taking on the task. I'm going to try really hard to update it, and post pictures. So for right now they'll be pictures of the past 7 years of us. Its just away of showing our journey and many adventures. Feel free to leave any comments.
